Short of having a physical register which is somewhat difficult during the pandemic with learning not being in person for the most part, what examples of 'evidence' do people generally keep for a learner having actually started their practical period? Has anyone had any confirmation from the ESFA regarding what they might consider acceptable e.g. screenshots of MS Teams or other collaborative meeting apps etc.?

I'm guessing you don't use a e-portfolio system?
We log the wbl elements in our eportfolio system and depending on the Apprenticeship additionally record the college delivery in our in-house electronic register system, otherwise its recorded in our e-portfolio system
Similar to Kelly, we log learning and contact hours for their FDOL in their e-portfolio accounts. We also encourage them to submit a short learning activity on the same date.
