English and Maths Certificates from Sweden

Hi All

We have a potential apprentice who took GCSEs and A Levels in Sweden. How do we check whether these are the equivalent to Level 2 English and Maths?

ESFA reference the UK ENIC International Comparisons Database but it looks like you need to pay to use that service. Is that correct?

Alternatively should we be asking apprentices to get a Statement of Comparability?

TIA

That is correct on all counts, Jessica.  UK ENIC is the only way you can exempt a learner with non UK qualifications.  If your organisation has membership with them, I'm guessing you can get it yourself, alternatively learners would need to pay £49 plus VAT (I think) per certificate.  When you're uploading evidence to your EPAO you need to submit both the comparability statement and the original certificate.
