Thanks for posting Phil Dawe, that's really helpful. I don't understand why the records are only available for 21/22 onwards when the funding rules were the same in 20/21........ :-(

Dear Henry Wish Thank you for the PDSAT information. Please can you confirm the best contact number and email address to raise a complaint about the PDSAT application? We find it incredibly difficult to use, not user friendly at all and very time-consuming. With the desktop version we could produce a set of reports in 30 minutes, this system can take all day and we still can't get a set of reports with annotations we can rely on. Thank you.

Thank you Phil Dawe, that's what I thought but wanted to check with others in case I was being unfair. I asked the ESFA to confirm but their response was 'we provide the guidance, it is up to the institution to decide what they deem is the most appropriate evidence that the learner is required to provide'..... Kind regards, Karen

Yes we are Wayne Hosking. When I raised this with the DfE helpdesk I did say to them that their rule change does not remove the need for providers to have to ask to see the visa of the learners partner/spouse as we will still need to check it is not a Seasonal worker visa. I asked if we can accept a self-declaration from the learner confirming the status of their spouse/partners visa so we can check it is not a Seasonal worker visa and they said no, for audit purposes a self declaration by the learner would not be acceptable evidence. A note of what evidence has been seen by yourselves, signed and dated needs to be kept in the evidence pack to confirm that the learner meets the residency criteria.

Hi Lisa Storey-Aung I logged a case with the DfE last week regarding spouse, partner and dependent visas. They confirmed that they will be updating the funding rules to clarify that dependents of all individuals with sponsorship visa status, with the exception of seasonal workers, are eligible for ASF funding. I then asked if they expected us to see the visa of the partner/spouse to ensure the sponsorship visa status is NOT seasonal worker and they said yes and that self-declaration from the learner that their partner/spouse visa is not a seasonal worker visa would not be acceptable.
