Wasn't it part of Geoff Russell's paper regarding manipulation of success rates? This was over 10 years ago though and don't think anything made it into the funding rules although auditors used to check it i think. These days the funding rules are very vague, nothing clear on what is and isn't allowed, so does the absence of a rule means anything goes.....? I imagine everyone interprets this differently.....

THe whole idea of FRM reports is so the ESFA can monitor that we are checking our data, unlike DSAT reports that they only know we've been actioning when we get audited. Surely an error on the ESFAs part. Yes we should be monitoring DSAT reports, but surely the ESFA want to monitor our compliance with these two reports monthly?

A query to the service desk i think might be best something not right there. I m always a bit reluctant to go to the service desk as you can get copy and paste answers it feels like sometimes (rather them them actually reading your question) but today had a really helpful/personal reply to a query which was refreshing!

If you had a Non Levy using DAS (ACT1) does it matter if you can't distinguish them from usual Levy employers - wouldn't you be invoicing them anyway? Just wondering if i have missed something obvious, its not a report i usually deal with! On another note, do you know what it means when the Apprenticeship Contract Type column is blank i.e no 1 or 2 displayed?

So could we be in a scenario where when a large payment is taken it exhausts the employers levy pot so they have to pay co-investment?

We just follow Steve's approach and use 2,8 across the board, staff have too many other important things to remember when dealing with apprenticeships, so as this appears to make no material difference to anything, its not a priority for us.

What error is this triggering? I thought we'd have some errors show up where we haven't entered this, but none so far.

Some of our staff can't get their head around 1,8 so record apprentices who have completed learning as 2,8 with Achievement Date missing - don't think it causes any issues, so why do we even have to record them as 1,8?

Have you clicked on the three dots and then gone to export data - there's instructions in the user guide if you need them. There's 3 places they are triggered: ILR warnings A report made avilable upon submission to SLD FRM reports published a couple of weeks after the ILR deadline 1 and 2 are so you can resolve errors more timely and are the less complex queries i believe. Personally prefer this as the data you are looking at is more timely. Sometimes by the time FRM reports were published, things had moved on and some errors had already been resolved, and there were new ones that you wouldn't be able to see until the next batch of reports. We are now looking at FRM issues weekly rather than monthly.
