I read that MArtin & flagged that to the service desk, this is a line out of the response, my understanding reading from guidance is that they should have completed the agreed work placement hours This is what they sent me,, The validity for a traineeship employer incentive claim is the 70 hour minimum. If the employer does not deliver 70 hours, they cannot claim the traineeship incentive. If this has happened because the employer has progressed the young person to an apprenticeship earlier than planned, they may be eligible to claim an incentive payment for hiring a new apprentice instead.

thanks Martin, the reason i ask is because an employer is unable to apply for the Traineeship incentive & the ESFA help desk have said its because the ILR is not marked as completed & achieved, the learner only has to complete a minimum of 70 hrs in order for the employer to be able to apply for the incentive, this particular one left before their planned end date

Hi Lynne, just saw your post I also asked a question around the 70 hours as the framework for delivery suggest that the agreed work placement hours has to be completed, page 56, paragraph 3, I have copied & pasted it below, its not very clear this guidance Subject to Paragraphs 4 - 6, an Employer may make a claim for the Employer Incentive Payment in respect of each Learner that meets the criteria as set out in Paragraph 2 and has completed the agreed work placement hours.
