Hi Ben Cowdery, 22/23 funding rules are only relevant to new starts in 22/23. Previous enrolments should follow the rules that were in place on their start date. HTH Phil

Becky O'Brien, Nice one. You are so right, double checking on more than a few test values is ALWAYS good. I have updated my comment above in-case anyone else finds the post and tries to use the wrong formula. Phil

Becky O'Brien =DATEDIF({StartDate}+1, {EndDate}+1, "m") + 1 Replace {Start Date} And {EndDate} with the appropriate cell references. Explanation - Excel DATEDIF(Date, Date, Interval) will look at the first day of the month to determine the number of months. If you add 1 day to the date - {StartDate}+1 - this will force excel into treating end of months as a new month and mid months as the same month. The +1 at the end is to correct the fact that excel ignores the first month as it is not a 'complete' month. Let me know if this solves your problem. Phil **EDIT** as perm Becky O'Brien comment below the correct formula is: =DATEDIF(EOMONTH({start_date}, 0)+1, {End_date}+1, "m")+1 For those interested excel geeks amoung us - Excel DATEDIF looks at complete months and not first dates as I originally assumed. The Inspired use of EOMONTH() ensures that the first month is ignored regardless of the length of days; the final +1 at the end is where it is counted back in.

Hi Neil, What are you reporting as your learners prior attainment? The DSAT Report 22A-404 - Learners on Level 2 learning Aims that are not part of the legal entitlement for the most part will only return records where both the learner's prior attainment is reported as below L2 (inc Unknown) and the qual they are on is not identified as having Category 37 in the latest LARS (Now find a learning aim) download. Also note that age is calculated from the start date of the AIM. For completeness here is the spec for inclusion of aims on 22A-404: 22A-404 Identifies all learning aims WHERE: FundModel = 35, Age at aim start between 19 and 23, PriorLevel is In (1, 2, 3, 97, 98, 99), ProgType is Not In (2, 3, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24), (LearnActEndDate >= 01/08/2021 OR LearnActEndDate Is Null), RES <> 1, NotionalNVQLevelv2 = 2, (CategoryRef = 40 and CategoryRef Not In (20, 22, 37, 39), BasicSkillsType Not In (22, 26, 27, 28, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42) AND there are no learning aims in the ILR for the same learner WHERE Outcome = 1, ( (CategoryRef = 37, SuccessRateMapCode <> "BL000001" AND FullLevel2Percent = 100) OR (CategoryRef = 38, FullLevel3Percent = 100 AND LearnAimRefTitle Not Like '%GCE A%') OR NotionalNVQLevelv2 > 3 ) AND LearnActEndDate < the earliest start date of the aim identified above. Hi Both, FYI the 'reduced' ILR privacy notice has not been updated yet. It still points to the old ESFA Privacy notice which no longer exists on the GOV.uk website. I assume that this will be updated to point to the new DfE one published 20th June. Phil

Wendy Kay It refers to the start of the course. Be aware though that the six months would start from their date of application or their arrival in the uk which ever is later, and if they have a claim refused and they appeal the six months starts again from the date of appeal. 48.1. have lived in the UK for 6 months or longer while their claim is being considered by the Home Office, and no decision on their claim has been made I assume that there may be cases where date of application could pre-date arrival in the uk but for funding purposes the date of entry in the UK is the important one. Do you mean a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) - if the learner holds one of these they are not an asylum seeker and and would need to meet the funding requirements dependent on their nationality/citizenship. Asylum seekers will/should hold an ARC (Application Registration Card). These look very similar to a BRP. HTH Phil
