VWV might be able to help if you are an AELP member, I'm unsure if they provide guidance if you are not however.

If 16-18 year old traineeships do not need to be looked at, I do not understand why they are included in the report. I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking why are they in there, so any clarification people get back would be appreciated. Paul.

I understand.... maybe... the the reports that come from the ILR report will be providing this data now that the employer names are going through DAS... but I'm not sure if I dream it! Paul.

Hi Kevin, One suggestion, has the employer given you permission to add vacancies on their behalf? Without this you will receive a similar error to the one you mention. Paul.

The key with digital signatures, or authorisations, is validating that it was done by them. The wet signature is a clear way of getting that proof categorically (as far as this can be used). A digitial signature that is timestamped with a secure system (MIS, Docusign or Adobe for example), and a check box, but I would add that it needs to be in a way that can be 'proven' they did actually press it and someone did not do it on their behalf. Systems where someone has to log in to be able to do this is a good example where the checkbox can be used as it would be timestamped 'behind the scenes'. That my take on it, so I would want to check that the system in place to validate that checkbox is secure and robust. I'm finding that the squiggly line that is now in place for digitial signing means that signatures are no longer consistent, but the timestamping of them providers the assurance. (Heaven forbid in 100 years when someone wants to question if my system was real or not, I could not vouch for it unless its digitally stamped!) Paul.

Hi, I would add that more specifics are essential. Putting more than KSB, and identifying the specific K1, S1 or B2 (for example) that it relates to, and how. Its all about the narrative now, identify the what, the how, the learning that was gained as a result and how it fits with the KSBs. Martins comment about the type of activity is good to note, but also something along the lines of: Shadowed a client meeting to see how the skill of negotiating (S1) and persuasive skills (K2) are used in pratice. During the session i was able to attempt this myself, and after feedback with my manager confirmed that I had understood and learnt the skills required to improve. I will continue to read up on the theory to ensure I am fully competent. Cross reference all the specific KSB.s that it covered, and emphasis what was learnt and retained. ESFA will be looking - as they have stated many times - about the quantity and amount of detail, and Ofsted will review the quality and specifics. Hope this is also useful. Paul.

Hi, I would just go to the old record if you have it and see if you have the ability to 'change employer'. If you do then use that option instead creating a new start date and planned end date / and cost. It could be that this is now in place to deal with possible duplicates in the system being created. Paul.

I understand some employers who have raised this have been told by the help desk that the policy is 'currently under review' but that does not really give an indication and does not help those who have reached the limit to be able to re-engage. I'll wait for the communication no doubt. Paul.

I'd recommend - if you have not already - clearly raising your concerns and examples to pellcomp directly and see if they can work with you to provide solutions. I have found alternatives for 95% of the reporting purposes already but some are causing some frustrations but I'm confident Pellcomp can assist. Paul.
