Usually the exam, as I believe this matches the ILR criteria of the AED being the last date "learning activities necessary to achieve the learning aim".

Completed achieved if all elements were sat and a grade obtained. I'd be making sure they had sufficient attendance/learning as well for the qualifying period as well.

Hi Steve, yes, sounds good if in year but what if they started in a previous AY that we now can't leave hanging?

Wow, I'm not actually in the apprenticeships department so this was a misunderstanding on my part sorry, I'd always thought auditors would take issue with this. What about if a learner changes to a different specification for a broadly similar qualification? For example to change from Edexcel to AQA functional skills Maths L2?

You need to do a proper assessment for recognition of prior learning and adjust accordingly. If you initial assessment shows the learner is still working only entry level you should be able to justify L1 delivery in full? I'd be wary of doing a full claim so close to another period of study though.

The guidance you need is covered here, https://www.gov.uk/guidance/redundancy-support-for-apprentices. I'm not actually sure what happens if they do have a new employer who won't support as it seems to largely cover those who can't find a new employer, it seems wrong to penalise the learner because of an employers unwillingness.

Hi, I feel like this comes up once a week, and it's understandable as i've never seen it clearly laid out anywhere and I had to go on a big run around trying to find out myself before someone answered. As it stands to my knowledge the first of the three payments is shown on the apps indicative funding report from FIS/Submit, it will also be on the ESFA remittance statements you receive. The additional two later payments are only shown on the remittance statements, I set up an internal tracking system that checks time on programme and warns finance/apprenticeships team about payments due.
