We had the same, I put a query in about it before the window closed for the provisional QAR and the ESFA said that they were going to amend their validation rules of AchDate to account for the cross over and it would be updated in the QAR for March. So the apprentice should move to the 21/22 QAR and not be included in the 20/21 QAR as a leaver.

To me (I'm still fairly new, but have read a lot recently!) it would be fair to say if the component aim last planned day in learning was before the last planned day of training for the programme aim, that would be okay? It just depends on whether there would be more learning for the standard after the end of the component. If the component was mandatory, I wouldn't imagine that there should be extra learning? If it wasn't mandatory then it might be fair to say that there was extra learning that needed to take place for the standard to be 'completed'. If any of that makes sense!!

Don't know if this will help, depending on what MIS you're using, because we have a couple of them too. It seems to be if they have two instances of learning on our MIS and one finished in 21/22, therefore isn't exporting and the prior attainment record that is attached is attached only to that record somehow. I looked in the XML and there was no prior attainment attached so on our MIS I've attached the prior attainment to both and the error has cleared.

Are they just clarifying the historic position? So going forward they are using the achievement year but for any apprentice with an actual end of in 2019 then they won't use achievement year because of the time the rule came into place maybe? The only thing in the update that I can see they amended is this: Following feedback, QAR logic has been adjusted to account for AchDate crossover for apprenticeship standards, AchYear where CompStatus is continuing, and OutcomeStartYear for traineeships where CompStatus is complete but OutStartDate is missing. Additionally, logic specific to Planned End Year 2018 removed to include relevant aim records.

We use Yeti too :) Your achievement date should be the date of achievement of the EPA (should be on the cert), the date your ACT applies to should also be that date, should resolve your issue I think?

Thank you both. I think I understand a bit more why some might if they need for evidence of low wage or SWAP just as a standard process, I was just surprised when I looked through other enrolment processes how many actually ask for evidence and state it must be provided. I do still feel unsure about why it's a blanket though for some providers (asking for information that we don't need?, especially with the amount of electronic uploads today in enrolment processes - where does it stay...forever??!!)

I've had the same problem. The workplace needs to be attached to the work experience aim, the delivery postcode in the aim needs to be the same postcode the employer is entering, the ERN needs to be attached to the work placement record, the aim needs to have a status of '2' and the work placement needs to be closed (with an end date). Of course, even with all of this, our employers still can't claim and I've been directed to the apprenticeship service to ask. Can't get through to them on the phone and live chat keeps kicking me off. It's so awkward that you can't even get through to ask if there is a problem so it can be rectified. I don't have much solution, keep calling the apprenticeship service or send them a message, but I'm in the same boat!
