Thanks thinking of almost doing it as a correction to completion status after hard close (BIL initially reported in 1920), using same start and end dates as were reported on the BIL and amending the completion status in 2021. The start/ expected end and actual end would all reflect the date of EPA activities, which is what they aren't supposed to represent.

Does anyone know if any of this is quoted anywhere. Sure i remember seeing an apprentice could continue with their Framework if they had been made redundant? We came unstuck at the DAS bit and the App Service advised they had to go on a standard. It doesn't seem right for normal changes of employer within 30 days either. They are in effect saying an apprentice could have 1 month left on their framework at the point they change employer, meaning everything has to be mapped to a standard and then prepared for EPA. Doesn't seem fair on the learner. Anyone already challenged this with the ESFA?

In a recent external webinar i attended, it was mentioned that for Apprenticeships the sample size of 50 had been reduced to 30. This was due to the fact that visits were taking place remotely and all evidence would have to be uploaded and scanned to the auditor. This was for the 1920 audits that were taking place prior to Christmas so assuming this will continue while lockdown restrictions are in place. I don't think the ESFA actually publish anything about assurance visits now, but it would be nice to know what their programme at least looked like e.g at what points in the year they are conducted and what academic year will be their primary focus.

As far as i know you just wait until someone asks you to pay the money back! You ll probably get some sort of automated letter asking you to check the details and confirm Actual End Dates do relate to a previous year - we did this once and then never heard back...

@Sue Bishop Thanks for explaining it. A whole separate department deal with this side of Apprenticeships and it appears they have recorded a couple of dates incorrectly, Just a final question - the achievement date is the last day of any EPA activists so do you find the result out on the last day so you can record the outcome at the point of inputting the achievement date. Or in reality do you not populate the achievement date until the result is published, meaning you the achievement date you are recording is always in the past?

Ahhh thanks missed that paragraph. Think learning and EPA assessment activities are getting muddled in some instances for some staff, from reading the Standard assessment spec.

Sorry the whole concept of gateway is new to me - who do you submit the learner to for Gateway approval - the awarding organisation? Why are you bound to have 7 days difference - as it takes so long for the EPA to be arranged?
