Well exactly, I was almost giddy with glee (sad i know) at being asked it, as it was such a good question! Given their lectures could well be on strike too soon it may become a moot point anyway...maybe i need to add this to the DFE reducing the burden as it could cause an awful lot of paperwork updates :( Might have to ask the helpdesk.

100% cannot do this! the funding rules are really clear that an apprentice should not be contributing to the cost of their programme. P216 The apprentice must not be asked to contribute financially to the eligible costs of training, on-programme or end-point assessment. P216.1 This includes both where the individual has completed the programme successfully or has left the programme early. P216.2 Costs include any co-investment or additional training and assessment costs above the funding band, that the employer has paid directly to the main provider where this is part of the agreed apprenticeship So they need to remove this from their contracts.

Unfortunately not Jo it makes progression especially of TNA's to RNA standard difficult as timing progression and completion etc for direct follow on is nigh impossible!

Totally agree Steve Hewitt its near useless to actually work with a the moment. I am doing the same thing as Maria at the moment and struggling to figure of what figures i am using to work percentages out off.

Hi Adele, are you the awarding organisation for the subcontracted provision? Eg does the degree come from the uni? If it is integrated or integrated aligned then yes you would be able to be if its non integrated i would say no... Happy to chat if you want separately :)

@... no not really there response was its required to complete the application and its a secure portal. we did ask but didnt get anywhere with it. it to do with checks they want to do i think, but realistically its just month and year and the individuals probaby give it out to websites and other places without thought so is the fuss needed?

Would the refresher not cost less to do? and so that in itself will should that prior learning has been accounted. Equally there isn't much you can do if it has an expiry and they need it for gateway its still and aim and there is still an element of learning to do.
