Thank you Martin; I was sure I had read it somewhere so it's reassuring to know I wasn't just dreaming it! So the advice from the AS was incorrect then - no surprise there!

No it's not. I've raised a query with the helpdesk - let's see what they say.

That's what I thought Martin but we have a learner who turned 19 on the start date and our monthly payment reports show the funding line as a 16-18 year old; we've also been paid the 16-18 additional payment. Hence my confusion! Any thoughts?

Hi Ruth My sentiments exactly! I've replied to the helpdesk with a response that pretty much echoes everything you've said and I've asked for it to be escalated, though I'm not holding out much hope! There really has to be an easier way to mitigate for simple data-entry errors.....surely!

Hi Martin Thanks for this, it's much appreciated. I'm assuming that the stop date for the incorrect record must match the start date for the new record so that there will be continuous funding?

Thanks Martin. Our DAS training provider account shows that the previous employer has stopped the apprenticeship using April 21 as the stop date. The new employer record is showing as live but I guess there could be the issue that the new employer didn't approve the apprentice until after the ILR return. There isn't a facility on DAS to check when the approval was made so I don't know this for sure. I guess we'll have to wait until the R05 reports are available to check that the issue has been solved.

Thank you Jean Parry & Ben James for your replies. I have already read the guidance and watched the video but thank you anyway for the links. I've asked our relationship manager to speak to the employer about the issue and try to figure out where it's going wrong. From the screenshot they've emailed to us I think they may be entering an employment start date that falls outside the parameters for the incentive payment (hopefully it's a typo) but it's not absolutely clear that that is the case. Really appreciate everyone's input.
