Hi. Ben, I've just seen your comment from the webinar that the new template will be available "No later than the end of June". Given the relatively unique way our programme operates the vast majority of our apprentices commence during the last week in June/first week in July. I'm curious as to how others would approach this, as the funding rules state agreements must be signed and in place prior to delivery taking place. Would you just use last years, or create your own but using next years funding rules to dictate the content? Thanks, Michael

Hi Steve, We do similar in that we offer a BTEC even though it is not a requirement of the standard. I raised this with the ESFA as the majority of our learners are taking their EPA now, however won't achieve their BTEC's until June and I was advised that because we don't receive funding for the BTEC's we should use funding model 99 for these. This means the aim can be left open even after the programme aim has been marked as achieved. The actual advice I received was: "If the additional aims are continuing to be delivered beyond the Achievement Date of the programme aim, you can withdraw the component learning aim and restart these aims as FM99." Hope this is of use to you. Thanks Michael

Apologies, POT = period of training (we use Maytas). With the Dip/Ext Dip being the main aim for our learners we've always assumed that we'd have to end that period of training and start a new one for the new qualification, which then creates further work with any functional skills they may be completing. I was hopeful that there may have been an easier solution but based on your previous response I think we're doing it right as we are. Thanks for getting back to me.

Out of interest, how are you changing this on the ILR? We had a number of learners transfer from a Diploma to Extended Diploma last year and did this by creating a second POT, but I'm intrigued to see whether there is an easier way of doing this. Thanks
