Online PDSAT - uploads failing

Created

Anyone else having problems with online PDSAT this morning?

I tried uploading a FIS file last night, which failed.  I've tried uploading again this morning.  Tried exporting a new ILR file, re-running it through FIS (0 errors) then uploading.  Tried uploading an ILR file alone.

All have failed. I've emailed the helpdesk but just wondered if it is working OK for everyone else?

Yes, we reported issues to the PDSAT Helpdesk on Monday. No positive response. They are investigating.

Hi Darren, I've tried a couple of times to upload R06 returns but they are failing. Did you get any luck fixing your issue?

Darren O'Neill

Hi Eleanor, no we had no luck by the end of Friday last week, so gave up trying! The PDSAT helpdesk said they are aware of the issue, but we don;t know how long it will take to fix. Luckily we had run a PDSAT a week before the R06 return, so we are just using that one.

Good morning Darren O'Neill,

I will look in to this with the PDSAT technicians. Is this still occurring now? We look forwards to your response.

 Cheers,

Good morning all,

I've spoken to the PDSAT technicians and due to a large volume of users/uploads we encountered some fails. This has since been resolved but should you encounter a technical issue with PDSAT please update this thread.

Thank you,

Hi Henry Wish I had failures on Friday and again yesterday. I'm trying to upload today and the site is timing out and giving a bad gateway.  I hope that the suppliers have got some plans to increase capacity to allow providers to use the site in the days before the ILR deadline - a large volume of users and updates is surely to be expected at these times?

Given the importance that the ESFA place on providers checking their own data and identifying compliance issues, it is really frustrating not to have these tools available at the times when they are most needed.

Thank you for the feedback Eleanor Piper, I've passed this to the PDSAT technicians. Henry W

The site will work for us to login, but will time out once we try to upload. Sometimes it will just hang on logging in.

It was incredibly slow yesterday afternoon, likely because every man and his dog was trying to upload a file. We're now able to upload ILR files just fine, but not FIS files for use in the Sampler, which is frustrating. They're just failing.

Sam Bern

Yup we managed to get a xml file uploaded and a report out, but wasn't really enough to time to action any findings from it.

Good morning all,

We have identified an issue with FIS version 2324.5 which is causing the dates to be displayed in US data format in the CSV exports. This is causing issues with imports to other MI systems, including PDSAT.

The issue does not affect any other functionality in FIS version 2334.5 including the access database export.

The development team are currently working on a new FIS version which will be deployed prior to R07 opening on 14th February. This issue is not present in FIS version 2324.4.

Thank you,

 Henry W

Good morning all,

 Nearly Friday!

FIS has been fixed and a new release is out, please remove your old version and download the latest version 2324.6

If you have any feedback for FIS please create a new thread and we will pick it up. Have a great day.

Upload failed again this morning.  Anyone else?

(I've contacted the helpdesk)

Sam Bern

Yup not working here either, they sent an email earlier saying it's not working, but may not have sent it out to everyone.

Eleanor Piper

Thanks Sam, would you be able to share the contents of the email please as I haven't received anything.

I went back to try to upload an ILR return (in case it was a FIS issue again) and am now just getting an internal server error.

Sam Bern

This was received this morning, there hasn't been a follow up yet.
