Hi Chris, For 21/22, if you are subcontracting more than £100k you have to appoint a audit firm to complete a controls audit (separate from any other audits). They will send you a report and you and the audit firm have to sign a certificate (the certificate template will be given to you by the auditors once the audit is over) - the signed certificate and report must be submitted to the ESFA by 31/07/22 This may help outline the process (which only relates to 21/22), from next year you follow the requirements of the subcontracting standard) https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/providing-external-assurance-on-subcontracting-controls/providing-external-assurance-on-subcontracting-controls The below (available within the link Steve provided) confirms the timeframe for the changes between the controls audit and the subcontracting standard[image]

The external certificate is being replaced by the subcontracting standard as of 22/23. The process will be the same in the sense that you appoint a internal audit firm of your choosing but I can tell you that the criteria is full on and it's not going to be a walk in the park- 10 catergories and 10-15 different types of criteria per catergory. Hi there Not sure about the ILR side but if its not a mandatory qual you dont need to evidence the completion before EPA. You also have to demonstrate that Awarding Body costs are not paid out of levy funding. K

As Martin said you have to be clear learning has taken place. Personally I try to avoid using reviews as last day of learning as it can prove difficult evidencing this.

Hi Ruth Thank you I've found some learning aims that are funded as NSF but not as legal entitlements. Does that mean that course is only fundable for learners 24+? Trying to understand how 19-23 year olds would be funded under NSF if its not a legal entitlement

We have a process where learners enter their details on a online website which inports into our student records system, this then converts all info into a pdf learning agreement which looks like a traditional enrolment form. What funding system are you refering to as id imagine you'd need something

Hi Martin Im aware you cant enrol on AEB whilst on a Apprenticeship . I was refering to delivering FS under AEB before the start of the Apprenticeship. We do this for our construction apprentices to get it out of the way. K
