This will only be an issue if their prior attainment is below Level 2. Re local flexibility - search the learning aim on FALA and click on the catergory tab and if local flexibility is available it will show there.

The only time I've seen that it was allowed to be enrolled on both at the same time was when a learner was paying for their degree. If your learner's degree is paid for via a loan/student finance I believe that would still be double funding. If you can push the start date back on your Apprenticeship that would be best the best option. K

I’m trying not to respond with bad language but other than for learners with pre/settled status , e-visas don’t seem worth their while. I would personally ask the learner for their previous BRP and see what status this referenced or if they have a supporting letter that was issued once they were granted their Evisa that may help. We also do the same when the status is too generic like family/child as this doesn’t tell us anything

Is this an apprentice? If so, what about the rule that all apprentices must be in Active learning every month? We would place learners on a BIL if they won’t be in active learning every month and then set their duration when they return based on the length of time the tutor feels they need (and based on their training plan.)

Hi Ruth, This is what we do: 1) we input as a default date at enrolment (or use the same date as the overall programme) and then amend to their actual start/end dates once we know what they are. 2) If they don’t undertake WEX at all we make them a non starter and remove the planned hours for WeX. 3) If they start WEX but drop out in the qualifying period we change their planned hours to represent the hours they have completed to date. i hope this helps.
