Hi Ems The work ex element of a Supported Internship is coded using the learning aim Z0002347 (as per ILR Spec). These do get included in QAR as Steve's points out. I think I can recall one of the lead auditors saying at a conference/webinar that if you do include 16-19 non reg in the ILR you basically need to follow the adult Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA) guidance.

It can no longer be delivered to meet the COF, but if achieved at grade 9-4, it may be accepted as prior attainment under the first bullet point below. 2025 to 2026 academic year: 16 to 19 funding: maths and English condition of funding - GOV.UK 9. Qualifications counted as prior attainment We treat some qualifications in maths, English language and English literature as equivalent to GCSE grade 9 to 4. Hi Ruth We do the same and record the Tech Qual and the Occupational Specialism with start dates both in Year 1. Like you also, most our T Levels deliver the Tech Qual in Year 1 and the Occ Spec starts in Year 2. Whilst we record the Occ Spec with dates that span both years, we do set the Tech Qual planned end date to the end of the first year academic year as the learners take the exams/assessments for this in the Summer series (apart from Engineering who take it in the Autumn series of Year 2). We then migrate the completed Tech Qual enrolment with the grade in to the second year. We then update the grade if they take a resit which results in a change. The Occ Spec determines the level of funding and the Provider Support Manual states the following, so that's why we put this in Year 1: The occupational specialism recorded will determine the level of funding the T Level programme attracts. The occupational specialism therefore, must be recorded in your data at the beginning of the first year of study. However, the occupational specialism can be changed later in the year should the original choice change. Kind regards, Anna

Hi Ruth I have had this situation also last academic year. I left the Industry Placement and Framework open and reported the whole programme in the following year. I don't think I found any guidance, but based it on the fact we are supposed to record dates in the year in which they happened. Kind regards, Anna

The scope includes funding for 16 to 19 year old students, and students up to age 24 who have an education, health and care plan. This information should be read in conjunction with the ESFA 16 to 19 funding guidance. A T Level is a level 3 study programme, which has been approved by the Institute of Apprenticeships and Technical Education under sections A2DA and A2DB of the Apprenticeships Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009. The following is from the ILR Spec re planned learning hours field which contain hours for only DfE approved quals. 16-19 (excluding Apprenticeships) funded learners This field should be completed with the total planned timetabled hours spent on DfE approved qualifications only (see the 16-19 (excluding Apprenticeships) funding documentation for further information). Other timetabled hours for non-qualification activity that make up a study programme for a learner with learning aims, should be recorded in the Planned employability, enrichment and pastoral hours field. Hi Bill It will generate funding for a withdrawal on day 42 but you will need to consider the following: From the ILR Spec regarding start date It is sufficient for the date held in this field to be accurate to within a week, providing that any approximation does not result in a learner being wrongly included or excluded in the funding calculations. And also if it is a continuing programme from a previous year the six weeks are measured from the learner's first date of attendance, which might not necessarily be 1 August and in this case the annual planned hours must be updated to remove all of the hours within the funding year for these learning aims, except for any planned hours actually delivered within the first six weeks. The 50% reduction in funding affects the retention factor and not in year. Kind regards, Anna
