Hi Aayushi Rami We Use Pics and Smart Assessor so our coaches log any extra support in the ALS tab on Smart Assessor as Medium and High each time they have a review with their learner which indicates to us that they have had extra support. We then run a report from Pics on a monthly basis (although i believe you only need to be amend LSF every 3 months now) So we then compare the Smart Assessor ALS reports and the Pics report, then we start claims for any new ones logged and end claims for any learner who doesnt have any ALS extra support logged in Smart Assessor. On Pics you would go to the Aim FAM area within the ZPROG add a FAM, choose LSF and then enter in your claim dates. This may not make any sense if you dont use Pics or Smart Assessor!!! We keep the reports as evidence. HTH :)

Hi Ashleigh Gray, Ahh ok, Ecctis normally give us an indication of what the equivalent GCSE result would be. If we are ever in any doubt we check with the EPAO and put them on the Maths and English program anyway until we get a definitive answer. HTH

Hi Paul I'm really interested in the replies on this. On occasions, we have learners who simply cannot get through their Functional skills so no chance of them going through EPA, so we have marked them as 'Complete' on their main aim but with no achievement. I'm now worried we have been doing this wrong...

Hi Ashleigh Gray, not sure if it helps at all but we get all our overseas quals checked by Ecctis and translated to the equivalent for Maths & English.
