Hi Jean I think the following rules would come into play for this one. 22. A provider must not claim funding for individuals who: 22.3. Are a shareholder / director with no separate identifiable line manager to undertake the role of ‘employer’, as defined by these funding rules; 22.3.1 During the apprenticeship, if an apprentice becomes selfemployed as a sole trader, or becomes a shareholder / director with no separate identifiable line manager, they will no longer be eligible for funding and the provider must report them as having withdrawn. Hope this helps. Joe

Hi Faye, We have been told by our local authority to start using eVisa share codes as all BRPs expired in December 2024 and moved to the new system. If you have a learner who hasn't changed from a BRP to eVisa they can do so through here: https://www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status We then use the share code here: https://www.gov.uk/check-immigration-status The code expires after 90 days and you will also need the person's date of birth. The service will show if they have the right to live in the UK, and any restrictions on their rights or access to benefits and services. Hope this helps Joe

Hi Carla, From my understanding, the QAR uses the planned learning end date to place learners into a data year, but the actual end year is based on the achievement date and not the learning end date. We had the same issue as you—learners finishing in mid-to-late July were being counted as potential achievers in our projections, which made it impossible to hit the expected percentage. Now, we look at August to June for projections and roll any learners due to finish in July into the August of the next QAR year. If they manage to complete their EPA before 1st August, it’s a bonus for the current QAR year. If not, they’re already factored into the next one. Hope that helps! Joe

My understanding would be you leave TNP1/2 as they were for the original employer and then create TNP3/4 for the updated amounts with the new employer which should then match the amount with the new employer on DAS.

We have had one come through as well for the Autumn Term Survey. I know they also used Microsoft forms for the 22/23 QAR and 23/24 Summer Term Survey. All come from the same email and its also the email address that they reply from when answering service desk enquiries.

It could be due to the rule change around co-investment for starts after the 1st April where they don't need to pay the 5% for learners 16 to 21. I remember seeing something from the ESFA saying that the payments would show up still for the first couple of months until they could get an update on their calculations.

Hi Laura, I have double checked and the standard is correct on the DAS cohort but I have been doing some more digging this morning through period end and ILR reports and I think the new ILR entry is still pulling the old 'employer identifier on employment status date' from looking at the Apps Monthly Payment report which I am thinking would then be attaching it to the old cohort on DAS. Hopefully that fixes it! Thanks Joe
