I'm not actually sure what happens if they do have a new employer who won't support as it seems to largely cover those who can't find a new employer, it seems wrong to penalise the learner because of an employers unwillingness.

Hi, I feel like this comes up once a week, and it's understandable as i've never seen it clearly laid out anywhere and I had to go on a big run around trying to find out myself before someone answered. As it stands to my knowledge the first of the three payments is shown on the apps indicative funding report from FIS/Submit, it will also be on the ESFA remittance statements you receive. The additional two later payments are only shown on the remittance statements, I set up an internal tracking system that checks time on programme and warns finance/apprenticeships team about payments due.

You can see it on the apps indicative report (first payment only) or your ESFA remittance statements (all payments). I ended up setting up a custom report that looks for learners flagged as eligible and sends a notification when they cross the date thresholds.

Hi, Just the practical, per the ILR spec- For new starts on or after August 2019, the planned end date must only include the learning related to the learning aim and not include the end point assessment period.

As above, some fully funded some not, relevant guidance from adult funding rules for clarity- Providers may also use their discretion to fully fund other learners if either of the following apply. The learner: receives other state benefits (not included in the list above) and their take-home pay (disregarding UC payments and other benefits) is less than £892 a month (learner is sole adult in their benefit claim) or £1,437 a month (learner has a joint benefit claim with their partner) not receiving any benefits, wants to be employed and you are satisfied that the identified learning is directly relevant to their employment prospects and local labour market needs. In order to claim full funding for learners who are unemployed and not receiving benefits, you must indicate that they earn below the earnings threshold by using LDM code 391 and FFI code 1 I'd be careful about anyone receiving pensions or being semi-retired etc as they are not likely going to pass muster in audit as someone who wants to be employed unless there is a good explanation as to why they need to do a particular course.
