Hi, a couple of thoughts although they may not help that much as you seem to be on the right lines: Have you added new TNP 3/4 records for the new employer (not mentioned above)effective from the change date? When was the change of employer first added to the system and uploaded to ESFA? Just wondering if it wasn't done until R04 and that's what triggered the funding stop. Otherwise it does seem odd that you were paid for 3 months and then it stopped.

Hi, on point 1 there is no requirement or facility to record employer contributions on the ILR for Bootcamp - PMR records are only for apprenticeships. Assuming an employer contribution is appropriate, to keep the ESFA payment at the correct level (70% or 90%) you'd set FFI=2 and, if you are a small or medium employer, OET=2.

Re posting as this seems to be another comment that isn't being properly saved/recorded. So the learner is employed but the employer is not making a financial contribution to the Bootcamp? The funding guidance page 9 reads "Courses are fully funded by Government for independent learners (individuals not being co-funded by their employer), and for the self-employed." Based on the technical funding rules (section on co-funding) I think you set the aim FFI=1 to prevent a 10% or 30% reduction in the ESFA payment. You might want to check the funding guidance to be sure that no employer contribution is appropriate.

Hi, never used Aptem but I have a feeling it was built originally for apprenticeships? Possibly for structural reasons it always needs to 'group' a learner's aims within a programme aim, even if that doesn't reflect the actual delivery and the aim is not exported to ESFA? Either that or someone hasn't grasped how AEB works.

Hi, the 'To' date is mandatory for LSF, as per this ILR spec page. This PSM page explains a bit more about general completion for LSF records. You can add further LSF records if required.

Very belated thoughts on this (not even using xmas as an excuse...). I haven't seen any technical guidance on this yet (unless that is further down the email mine) but based on this note, all the references in here are to the aim start rather than programme start: "This uplift will apply to apprentices that start their English and Maths qualifications from 1 January 2023" (their typo, I assume, not mine) "This will apply to apprentices who are starting their English and Maths provisions from 1 January 2024 onwards." And so on. Presumably they will look at things like the aim restart status and original start date, as well as start date, to identify valid aims. Otherwise they'd have to link the FS aims to the programme aim and work from that start date (doable but fiddly).

Hi, The Learning Support Funding field for an aim requires a 'from' and 'to' date for the funding duration. The FAM record can't be left open. This page explains the 'to' date. Additional LSF records can be added for an aim to cover multiple periods of support. HTH

Page 13 of the guidance states "evidence of employer contributions (as appropriate)". I would have thought that a note on file was sufficient but you might need to check with ESFA if there is an exact format/detail required. The words 'as appropriate' hopefully give the leeway required for a common-sense solution.

I suppose the main difference with employer contributions between Bootcamps and Apprenticeships, is that for the latter you have to record them on ILR as PMR. LDM356 removes the need to record those payments where the trainee is employed by the provider - in Bootcamps there is no requirement to record employer contributions on the ILR.
